Corinne Day passed away today after a long illness stemming from a brain tumor. Considered one of the leading photographers of the “grunge” aesthetic of the ’90s and a frequent collaborator with Kate Moss, she is often credited with being one of the driving forces behind Moss’s initial success as a teenager when she cast her in an editorial for The Face in the early ’90s.
Day was also self-taught which is incredibly inspiring for someone like me. She leaves behind an insanely rich and beautiful body of work.
