This series of photographs by Howard Schatz won a second place prize in the Sports Stories category of the World Press Photo Contest. He took pictures of boxers before and after fights, it’s almost painful to look at.

there are days when i wish that i could reply to emails with a swift yet forceful punch in the mouth. the recipient would see “re:” in the subject line, but when they open it… BAM! to the face. and i’d cc all of their friends so they could watch… how embarrassing… you just got e-punched in the mouth in front of all of your friends.
